Mapping Software

Here we provide the Java source code and documentation for the custom software that we use to collect data on 2-deoxyglucose uptake through the glomerular layer, to standardize the data, and to express the results as a data matrix. 3D Model of the Glomerular Layer

Here we provide the Java source code and documentation that we have constructed to display our activity patterns on a 3D model of the surface of the glomerular layer of a rat olfactory bulb. This project was implemented using Java 3D and Java 2. (Click here to browse the project.)

Data Analysis Software

Here we provide the Java source code and documentation for the custom software that we have constructed to reveal relationships between different collected activity patterns. This software involves a MySQL database of both activity matrices and pair-wise Pearson correlation coefficients calculated for both average patterns across different studies and individual patterns within a single study. The software further extracts average and maximal values of uptake within previously determined glomerular modules. A tool is included to create new modules for similar analyses. The software sorts the results in ways to facilitate the appreciation of meaningful relationships in the data. This project was implemented using Java 2, JDBC, and RMI. Remote Method Invocation(RMI)


Here we provide the Java source code and documentation that we used as an interface between our mapping software and our data analysis software by using Remote Method Invocation. MATLAB image generation source


Here we provide the MATLAB code that we use to generate the standardized 2-dimensional images of 2DG uptake displayed on the site (color-coded contour charts, grayscale bitmap images, and surface plots in both ventral-centered and dorsal-centered orientations) . We are curretly not providing the source code for this web application, but it is implemented using JSP 2.0, JSTL 1.1, JSP Tags, scriptlets, Hibernate, Tomcat 5.5 and MySQL.
